SolarWinds (NYSE:SWI), a leading provider of simple, powerful, secure observability and IT management software, will showcase its SolarWinds® Observability SaaS option at AWS re:Invent 2024. SolarWinds, an Amazon Web Services® (AWS®) Partner in the AWS Partner Network (APN), will demonstrate how SolarWinds Observability improves operational efficiency and helps ensure performance across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
SolarWinds Observability enables customers to accelerate digital transformation efforts and streamline cloud migration and application modernization. The platform extends visibility across cloud-native, on-premises, and hybrid environments, offering complete observability across diverse technology stacks. By leveraging artificial intelligence (AI)-driven insights, SolarWinds Observability helps customers migrate workloads and modernize applications on AWS efficiently while reducing risk, boosting productivity, and increasing cost-effectiveness.
New and expanded capabilities for SolarWinds Observability SaaS include:
- Broader on-premises infrastructure monitoring: Monitor critical server components, such as bandwidth, availability, and response time, which can negatively affect server performance. SolarWinds Observability can now identify when server resources reach warning and critical thresholds through relevant metrics.
- Expanded cloud infrastructure observability: The significant expansion of AWS, Azure®, and Kubernetes® observability capabilities allows out-of-the-box cloud services and containerized infrastructure monitoring.
- More comprehensive network performance, traffic flow, and path analysis: Scan, discover, and map devices and applications to gain performance metrics, including latency, jitter, and throughput, that help to detect and remediate issues early.
- Built-in intelligence and AI/ML capabilities: Enhancements to smart, anomaly-based alerts and AlertStack™ reduce alert fatigue and accelerate incident management. Customers who opt into IT Service Management (ITSM) can leverage AI-assisted ITSM capabilities, enabling more proactive troubleshooting, problem identification, and remediation, meaning even faster mean time to detect (MTTD) and resolve (MTTR).
- Enhanced SolarWinds Platform Connect: Eliminates the need for a disruptive rip-and-replace migration, offering greater flexibility and control over customers’ observability journeys. Start with SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted and then try and adopt the SaaS solution with just a few simple clicks. SolarWinds future-proofs your investments today.
“Most monitoring and observability solutions in the market today focus narrowly on either on-premises or cloud environments, forcing IT teams to prioritize one over the other, which leaves a gap for organizations managing hybrid IT architectures," said Cullen Childress, SVP of Product at SolarWinds. "With SolarWinds Observability, we give our customers the freedom to monitor what they need and how they need it, with expansive visibility and AI-driven insights to manage their IT environments effectively. Our solution empowers customers to boost performance, deploy flexibly, and optimize costs and resources, whether they’re modernizing on-premises systems, moving to the cloud, or working in a hybrid model."
Additionally, Josh Stageberg, Vice President of Product Management, SaaS at SolarWinds, will deliver a 20-minute Lightning Talk entitled “AWS Journey: Customer’s Path to Hybrid Cloud Excellence.” The talk will explore one SolarWinds customer’s decision to migrate to the cloud and why they chose AWS. The session will delve into the specific workloads and applications the customer runs on AWS and the critical role observability plays in managing and optimizing their hybrid environment.
Check out Josh’s session on Tuesday, December 3 at 3:00 PM PT in Theater 3 of Expo Hall B in the Venetian.
SolarWinds will present at Booth #2159 at the Data and AI-ML Pavilion at AWS re:Invent 2024, which takes place December 2–6 in Las Vegas. SolarWinds engineers and product experts will be available to meet with attendees and provide live product demonstrations. Attendees also have the option to book a private meeting with the SolarWinds sales team.
