Through their collaboration, the companies have launched LiveData PeriOp Manager in 88 VA hospitals. The latest round of deployments brings the total of VA Medical Center (VAMC) operating rooms (ORs) equipped with LiveData’s perioperative solution to 85%. This widespread implementation marks a major step forward in optimizing OR utilization across the VA health care system.

With this successful deployment, the VA is now poised to take the next crucial step: data standardization across Veterans Health Administration (VHA) hospitals. This initiative will focus on improving the prioritization and scheduling of complex surgical cases.

This allows families to track the progress of their loved ones as they move through the perioperative process. Patient identity is represented by a specially assigned code provided only to authorized family members.
- PeriOp Mobile Messenger™: The PeriOp Mobile Messenger allows HIPAA-compliant SMS/text alerts to be sent to the phones of a patient’s family or friend updating them on the surgery case progress.
- LiveData OR-Dashboard™ with Active Time Out®: Integrates patient information from the EHR, anesthesia systems, and physiological monitoring devices to provide a continuously updated, real-time view of the surgical case, from OR setup through the surgical procedure to OR turnover. The module also provides a digital safe surgery checklist that guides surgical teams through briefing, timeout, and debriefing stages of every case using a handheld “clicker” and a wall-mounted monitor.
- LiveData OR-Schedule Board™: Provides a dynamic real-time view of the day’s surgical caseload, automatically adjusting and displaying case start and end times throughout the day using real-time case workflow monitoring.
